There are few things in the world quite as satisfying for a tea lover as dipping your tea pot into a flowing wilderness river to get water for you tea. This trip is designed for those that get excited by the idea of getting a chance to do just that.

We will provide everything you might need from special shoes, to a gourmet lunch to a camp stove and tea making implements. We will bring some tea and we recommend you bring some of your best as well!

​

Through many years of experience river tracing with Hualien Outdoors we have found the perfect places, with the perfect water, to brew your favorite teas. There are different options for different outdoor abilities and the payoff for walking a few hours through the forest can be an amazing experience, if you are into that type of thing...

Itinerary

8am -- Pick up and breakfast in Hualien city, drive to the river

9:00-11am -- Walk through the forest and river valley to one of many beautiful spots

11-1pm -- Gourmet lunch of bread, cheese and fresh fruit and lots of tea drinking.

1-3pm Head back down the river and head back to Hualien

3-4pm Arrive back in Hualien City for a well deserved rest.

FAQ

How much will it cost? 

​

Costs for 2 people are 2600NT$(~90US$) per person and costs go down with each person added. There is a family discount and a discount if you do multiple trips with us or Hualien Outdoors.

What should we bring?

Once you book we will give you a detailed list of clothes to bring and what to expect.

What about the weather?

​

This trip can go out even on rainy days but if in the rare chance that we have to cancel because of the weather there is no costs to you! If the weather is bad the trip itinerary might change in very small ways but the trip will be essentially the same.

Make Your Own Tea
